"In December, 1964, my left shoulder, under my shoulder blade, suddenly became very sore and stiff. A few days later, it was in my right hip, then down my right knee. It was very painful; it became very hard for me to keep my family chores done. I was under a lot of stress at the time. My husband and I have lived next door to my elderly parents and my father was in bad health. I tried to take on the care of my father plus keep my family in tow. We lived in Maryville, TN. at the time, and my husband came to Atlanta to find a better job. Meanwhile, our children and I stayed in Tennessee until he was settled. One time, under my left shoulder blade, a doctor gave me a shot real deep down in my back, also up and down my ribs on the left side in front. Today I'm 70 years old and more than half of my life I've lived stiff, sore and in a lot of pain. I've kept active and people couldn't believe I was sick.
